CCI’s Response to COVID-19
March 23, 2020
We are living through an unprecedented event in recent human history. Around the globe, borders and businesses are closing. Everyday life is grinding to a halt as schools and public events have been cancelled and workers are encouraged to work from home. The coronavirus (COVID-19) is disrupting life as we know it. While we are all certain to be impacted by the social strain, we hope that you and your family will remain safe and healthy.
We would like to share with you how Creekside Capital is responding to the global spread of COVID-19 and this market environment. We know people are concerned because it’s unclear how this virus will play out. That’s certainly understandable. We all believe eventually the spread of the virus will slow down and people will get back to normal.
Until then, Creekside Capital will continue full operations as normal, even as we go remote. Since Governor Bill Lee signed Executive Order 17 calling for businesses across the state to utilize alternative business models beginning midnight today, effective Tuesday March 24, 2020, we will be doing our bit to ‘shelter in place’ by closing our office and deploying our remote operation processes.
Even before this crisis, as part of SEC regulations and company policy, we have had emergency and contingency plans in place. As such, our office and employees are fully capable of working remotely, from anywhere and at any time, allowing us to continue to be there for you during this volatile time. We will be continuously monitoring this situation at the local, national, and global levels, and are taking proactive steps to ensure the continuity of the service we provide you.
Even While We Shelter in Place, You Can Expect the Same High-Level Service from Us.
Again, we will continue to be fully operational. However, for those things that can’t be done remotely:
We will be at the office in rotating shifts to monitor incoming and outgoing mail daily.
You will still be able to make deposits by putting your check in our secure, locked mailbox. Simply put it in an envelope with any deposit instructions drop it in the mail slot. Then, please call (or email) to let us know you either mailed something or put a check in the mailbox and we will retrieve it and deposit it that day.
And of course you can always reach us by phone: 865-693-5300 and email at
We are all in this together. Please reach out to us as usual if you have any questions or concerns you would like to discuss. Please stay healthy and safe, and thank you for the trust you have placed in us to help you navigate this unprecedented time.

Patty Long has over 20 years’ experience in client relations and account management encompassing a wide range of supporting roles in such organizations as a start-up IT company, local municipal, non-profit, and in tax, and environments.
She holds a computer science degree in computer programming where some time later realized that George Bernard Shaw’s famous quote “Education is wasted on the young.” is more a truism than she realized. Early roles in client development and sales support experience gave her the awareness that she is much more a people person speaking the English language than a computer programmer speaking machine language.
Having spent significant time growing up traveling and living abroad, she developed a diverse background in different cultures whereby developing her passion for people and the desire to build strong professional relationships became inspired.
Patty is mission minded at home and abroad. She has served her local community in undertakings from hands-on work projects for the home bound, visiting the elderly in nursing homes, to fund raising efforts for Hope Resource Center. Abroad she cared for orphans in Africa and assisted in tending to the medical needs of a remote community of people in Kenya. In 2013 and again in 2015, Patty and her husband served and supported the very poor and forgotten in Israel.
Patty and her husband enjoy traveling, antiquing, reading and collecting books for their home library.
